What are the requirements
The requirements for the Portugal Golden Visa are very straightforward:
Correctly completed application form, criminal record check, proof of health insurance in Portugal, proof of investment, being at least 18 years of age, etc.
The applicant cannot be from the EEA or Switzerland, neither can it be a relative of a citizen from these countries.
In-person screening (biometrics appointment)
Property purchases in low-density areas in Portugal have a minimum investment of 400,000€; any real estate that is over 30 years old in an urban rehabilitation area can be purchased for 280,000€; Any other property purchase has a minimum investment cost of 500,000€. Real estate purchases in Lisbon, Porto, and coastal towns don’t qualify. Other types of economic investments, such as investment funds, capital trans, job creation and donations, qualify for the visa but the amount required is higher.
